Nestling on the edge of the Peak District in Derbyshire, just a few miles downstream of the Chatsworth House, our private beat of river Derwent near Darley Dale is available for all our clients to learn the art of river fly fishing. You will be targeting wild brown trout and grayling using the dry fly, nymph and wet fly. The River is teaming with insect life and is renowned for it's fly fishing. During Your one to one fly fishing lesson you will have the river all to yourself as we own the fishing rights on this small beat of river. Season - April to October |

Barlow Trout Fishery The beautiful village of Barlow lies in a valley skirting the edge of the Peak District National park. Howden & Derwent Reservoir For those of you who fancy getting away from it all we can provide fly fishing lessons for wild brown trout in the upper reaches of the Derwent Valley at Howden and Derwent Reservoir near the villages of Hope and Hathersage. There are no stocked fish so you will need to learn the art of wild fishing in truly unbelievable surroundings. With no roads, shops or sometimes even people nearby, the silence can be deafening, only interrupted by the occasional bird of prey whistling overhead or the distinctive call of the grouse on the moorland edges.
