3 Cracking Rainbows!

We had a lovely day with DG after he was bought a fly fishing gift voucher for a full day tuition with us. Despite being a successful match fisherman DG had never really tried fly fishing.

We were amazed how quickly DG picked things up and by only 11 o'clock in the morning he had already landed a cracking rainbow Trout of about one and a half pounds. This fish was followed by a further 2 fish both slightly smaller. All the fish were taking on deep slow fished nymphs.

 

That's for my tea!

LJ Came to us with his Grandad after both having been bought a fly fishing gift voucher as a present. We were mighty impressed how he play this 1lb stocked brownie after hooked it on a slow fished size 18 black buzzer. The fish was taken home for Dad to cook for tea.

It's really important when coaching youngsters who are beginners to keep things exciting and interesting and there is no better way than them catching their first fish on the fly!

Karl's first Brown Trout

Karl is chuffed to bits with this Brown Trout caught on his first outing with a fly road. Karl was bought a gift voucher for his birthday and after getting the hand with casting in the morning couldn't wait to get fishing after lunch.

 

Karl was fishing a Diawal Bach on the edge of a weed bed when he took a lovley brown trout of about a pound.

 

 

Michael's beginners day success!

Michael came to us after his wife had kindly bought him a Gift Voucher for a "fly fishing for beginners day" as a birthday present. Despite course fishing all his life Michael had never held a fly rod but picked up his roll casts and overhead casts very quickly.

We looked at nymph fishing where Michael caught a lovely Rainbow of about a pound on a slow and deep Diawl Bach.

After this success we switched to have a look at how to fish Buzzers and Dry Flies.
