Lee catches a cracker on his beginners day!
Lee booked a beginners day with us in order to learn basic casting and watercraft skills to enable him to get out on his own on some of our local still waters. He already had a good selection of tackle which he brought along and used through the day.
After learning the overhead and roll casts as well as shooting line in the morning, we spent the afternoon fishing and learning the techniques of lures, nymphs and dry flies. It was while Lee was fishing his small black F Fly that he had a lovely head and tail rise to his fly. After lifting in to the fish and an exciting fight we landed a beautiful rainbow that weighed about two and a half pounds!
Well done Lee, I hope to see you out on the bank soon!
Karl's first Brown Trout
Karl is chuffed to bits with this Brown Trout caught on his first outing with a fly road. Karl was bought a gift certificate for his birthday and after getting the hand with casting in the morning couldn't wait to get fishing after lunch.
Karl was fishing a Diawal Bach on the edge of a weed bed when he took a lovley brown trout of about a pound.
Michael's beginners day success!
