Our Fishery - The secret trout pool!
We are lucky enough to have our own little fishing pond. Nestled away somewhere near the village of Bradfield on the edge of the Peak District our secret trout pool is only ever fished by us and our clients. Looking like something from the Mr Crabtree books, the pool contains beautiful brown and rainbow trout. This the perfect place for beginners to make their first casts and hopefully catch their first fish.
The fly life here is abundant with regular hatches of buzzers. In the summer months there are dragon flies and damsel flies providing a constant supply of food for the fish and fantastic sport for the fly fisherman. Small light tackle such as a 2 weight brook rod and a handful of dry flies is all that is required.
This pond
gives you the chance to learn to fish in complete privacy with no one else watching besides your instructor. The last thing you want when you are making your first casts with a fly rod is to feel that you are being watched by loads of other people!
